Rick Bassett is very involved with community and international service through his active membership in the North Haven Rotary Club since 1990. He is currently a Past District Governor mentoring the leadership of the District 7980.

Polar Plunge for Breast Cancer
On New Year’s Day, Rick Bassett jumped into the icy water at Lighthouse Park in New Haven with several dozen hardy souls. Although the North Haven Rotary past president had hoped to raise at least $500 for his personal cause in the battle against breast cancer, instead he announced that he had raised more than $1,300.

Foundation Chairman 2010-11
Dr. Richard Bassett, the past president of the North Haven Rotary club who is serving as the chairman of the North Haven Rotary Foundation this year, recently delivered $10,000 scholarship checks from the club’s foundation to North Haven High School, Gateway Community College and Quinnipiac University
